that birth is

a normal, physiologic process that is safe and rewarding. And that birth can also provide a wonderful opportunity to heal, transform and empower.

My husband
and I knew

that she was the one we wanted to help us through my pregnancy and the birth of our first child. She is 100% invested in women, midwifery and the safe and healthy delivery of babies.

Welcoming your baby into the world

is one of the most sacred human experiences, it will be an event you remember for the rest of your life. The moment of your baby’s first breath, she should hear your gentle voice, feel your warm embrace and begin their life’s journey connected to you.  This gentle approach to birth is what I wish for you, your baby and your family.

I became a midwife because I believe

that every woman has the right to choose how, where and with whom she births.  I dream of a future where mothers know all their maternity care options.  Things like choosing the type of provider, giving birth at home or hospital, which laboratory tests or how many ultrasounds, if any, are necessary, how her labor is monitored, and risks and benefits of any interventions.  I want mothers to know about evidence based care, informed consent and to choose what is right for themselves.

Midwifery care is

an important maternity care option and I believe that gentle, safe emergence into this world is important for families as well as humanity.  Every mother has the right to a safe and empowering birth, and I hope that you will find your way to both.
